DESCRIPTION: \nAnxiety can be a problem for many children\, making their\, and your\, lives a misery. It can impact sleep\, stop kids from doing the things they like\, and stop them from speaking up when under pressure to do the things they don’t like. Do you have a ‘worry-wart’? We’ll look at why gifted kids worry and what you can do to help. \nSessions will be based at West Perth Medical Centre and led by Dr. Kate Burton. Kate’s research and practice explore the intersection between education\, and social and emotional wellbeing. She has a particular interest in students with diverse learning needs\, specifically gifted and creative children and adolescents.
